I am an independent industrial designer in Timișoara. I work with small manufacturers and workshops across the Banat region on seating, lighting and storage — mostly in solid beech, steel and cork.
A stacking side chair in steam-bent beech. Eleven parts, no glued joints, every one of them replaceable with a hex key.
A counterweighted task lamp for a lighting workshop in Arad. Cork shade, cast base, a cord you can actually re-wire.
Flat-pack shelving for a bookshop on Strada Mercy. Grew from four modules to nineteen without a new drawing.
The studio is one room above a joinery on the south side of the city, which is convenient: most of what I draw gets prototyped twenty steps from my desk, usually badly the first time.
I trained as a product designer at the Politehnica and spent six years in-house at a contract furniture maker before going independent. That decade taught me that the interesting constraints are almost never aesthetic — they are tooling, freight volume, and what a workshop can hold in stock.
I keep the practice deliberately small. One or two commissions run at a time, start to production file, and I stay involved through the first manufacturing run.
Concept to production file. Sketch models, a working prototype, then a drawing package a workshop can quote from directly — tolerances, finishes, hardware schedule and packing dimensions included.
Redesign for manufacture. An existing product that costs too much to make or ship. I look at part count, fixture time and carton volume, and usually find the saving in the joint rather than the material.

Visits to the workshop by arrangement. I answer email in the morning, Monday to Thursday.
